The ten brothers of Saint Vitus brew successfully within the quiet walls of their abbey. For years, their beer has been hailed as the best in the world. But there is one rule: there must be ten of them to ensure their continued existance. When one brother suddenly disappears, the other nine try to keep this a secret from the outside world. 10 Monks is a six-part series from Panenka, directed by Wouter Bouvijn (“1985”, “The Twelve”) and Wannes Destoop (“Holy Rosita”, “Ferry 2”). The series was created by showrunner Sanne Nuyens (“De Twaalf”, “Beau Séjour”), who co-wrote the screenplay with Sabine Lubbe Bakker (“Kom hier dat ik u kus”) based on the original idea conceived by the latter together with Niels van Koevorden.

An impressive all-star cast has been assembled. The ten monks are played by: Jan Decleir (‘Niet Schieten’, ‘The Memory of a Killer’), Titus De Voogdt (‘1985’, ‘Mijn Slechtste Beste Vriendin’), Frank Lammers (‘Ferry’, ‘Undercover’), Willem De Schryver (‘The Big Fuck-Up’, ‘Knokke Off’), Valentijn Dhaenens (‘Girl’, ‘The Misfortunates’), Tom Vermeir (‘The Big Fuck-Up’, ‘1985’), Jan Bijvoet (‘Wil’, ‘The Broken Circle Breakdown’), Mounir Hathout (‘Holy Rosita’), Misha Van der Werf (‘Hacked’) and Mohamed Hereika.

Panenka is producing the series in co-production with Streamz, Play, Telenet, RTL Belgium/RTLtvi/RTLPlay, Orange Belgium/Be tv and HBO Max.
